I can remember the day when Nelio, our Haitian Director, got in touch with me and said that he was bringing a little girl to our orphanage who was about three. She was sweet and quiet and had long silky hair! Nelio, our Director, said that a little girl, about three, was about to be sold as a restavek (slave) to someone.

Nelio was so afraid that she would be abused that he offered to “buy her.” He brought her to our Love A Child Orphanage, and she has been with us ever since. With her long silky hair and light skin, we believe she came from the Dominican Republic. She is now 14 and loves school. She has chores to do before going to school, but she is up early, getting her work done, and off to school. She is now in 8th grade.

She spends a lot of free time doing “Praise Dances.” She is beautiful and elegant. Her dream is to be a dentist.

She loves the Lord, and she will go far in her life!!!
