One day, about 13 years ago or more, our Haitian Director, Nelio Barthelemy, heard about a man who was going to “sell his little girl” to a man for money. Nelio was outraged and convinced the man to let him “buy the little girl!”

Rebecca came to us with long, thick black hair, and we considered her a gift from God! (We believe her father is Dominican.) She is so sweet and quiet; you would think she’s not here! She is now in high school. She is thinking about her future and might want to be a doctor! Whatever she puts her mind to, she will carry it through! Rebecca loves the Lord, her family, and sports!!
