REFORESTATION, MORE TREES FOR HAITI!!!

REFORESTATION, MORE TREES FOR HAITI!!!

This just came in from Wilner Exil, our head agronomist at the Love A Child Agricultural Training Center (ATC).

He calls me “Big Boss!” More trees for Haiti!! We are tree lovers here.

Bobby Burnette

Hello my Big Boss!

Today we are preparing to produce 3 to 4 thousand seedlings in our nursery as part of a new reforestation project for the year 2023.

When we realize the importance of a tree in a person’s life… The importance of a small tree is huge for the environment.

If we can give 2-3 examples of the importance a small tree has:
1) It provides biological (natural) oxygen.
2) It serves as a house for the birds, giving them shelter and food.
3) It can provide nutritious food, helping people get away from hunger.
4) It is used as a medicinal plant to treat various types of diseases.
5) It protects the earth from erosion, strong wind, heavy rain, and strong sun, providing welcome shade and soil stability from Hydraulic erosion, wind erosion, and energetic erosion.
6) Its leaves provide important biomass for compost and mulch, and its wood allows you to build many things like housing, etc.

For all these important reasons, the Agriculture Training Center (ATC) at Love A Child wants to produce 3 to 4 thousand trees of different varieties, especially the melliferous plants, plants that give a lot of flowers that can produce seeds for more trees and for animals to eat, and flowers to attract especially the bees.
