Remembering Bob Nunly

GOD’S GENERAL HAS GONE HOME!

I took this picture yesterday of Mark Crea, President of Feed My Starving Children, and Bob Nunly (on the right) when we had our food distribution. We have been giving Bob Nunly and his orphans food for 17 years. We have known Bob for at least 35 years. He has lived here in Haiti for 46 years! Like always, Bob came for his food yesterday in his old beat up tap tap (truck). He usually has a flat tire 90% of the time. He is always happy and never complains. His driver left with the food last time and didn’t come back for him until four hours later!! We thought Bob would be mad. No, he just smiled and said that his driver was probably giving the food out and that he will be back in God’s time.

As long as we have known him… Joseph and Peter, two of our Love A Child workers, grew up in his orphanage and are wonderful young men! Madamn Adeline, who now has her own orphanage, also grew up in Bob’s Orphanage.

Yesterday, while he was getting ready to get in his truck with his old cane, I put my arm around him and said, “Bob, I’m still looking for that old, rich woman for you!” He just laughed and went his way.

He went home to rest a little bit, and the angels came and took him. We miss you, Bob!
