Remembering our Heroes

A donor who remains anonymous frequently sends in clothing for children and adults. The clothes are always new, whether for boys and girls or men and women.

Each clothing item bears the name of a hero who gave his/her life for our country. The tag tells the name of the soldier, what branch he was in, and the date of his birth and death.

Years ago, our younger generation wanted to be a soldier, or a policeman, or somehow wanted to serve their country. It is sad that there are fewer of these young men and women because many are not taught to “serve.” But, to serve your country, your fellow man, and your God makes one a hero.

Our Haitian children were so proud to have these clothes and to know where those “little pieces of paper,” came from!

God bless our soldiers everywhere and may the Lord protect them!!
