Update On Our Newest Project: Saving Fond Parisien

The committee of Fond Parisien came to us asking for help. It was an emergency. The big, dry river that comes down from the mountains, right into Fond Parisien, is very dangerous during the rainy season. Now, with it being hurricane season, the river could flow into our community, destroying many poor peoples’ homes. I’m so proud of the committee and the people volunteering to help make this project successful. The committee asked if we could give the first 30%, which is $91,000. PTL! The Lord supplied the money!

I then asked my American friend, Dr. Ted Higgins, who runs the Christ Poutous Hospital, if his group could put up the next $91,000. He said, “Yes, they are in for the next 30%!” I love Dr. Ted Higgins and his group. We are all trying to save our community of Fond Parisien from the next big hurricane that could flood and destroy. The Lord will supply the last 40%!!
