This morning, at one of our Love A Child schools here on the compound, I witnessed the teachers organizing about 200 three and four-year-old children. The staff organized the group into seven straight lines with about 30 little ones in each line. They were gathering to honor their country. They were lined up like little yellow-uniformed soldiers in front of the red flag of Haiti.
As two tiny flag bearers hoisted the colors, the group began to sing the Haitian national anthem. These little babies sang with heart, high-pitched voices belting out the lyrics with pride. They sang for love of country. Their little hands pressed on their chests as a sign of respect for their homeland. They love this place. It is a beautiful place.
Love A Child is committed to these children. We are investing in their hearts, minds, and bodies. We are believing God for a better future for this country. It starts with these kids. Love A Child is building a future here, a foundation for a better Haiti. Turning little hearts to God and educating little minds is it a big part of that process.
Thank you for supporting this ministry. Thank you for supporting Love A Child with your prayers and with your money, in a time when many have given up on Haiti. We refuse to give in. We refuse to give up. These kids depend on us. Thank you for helping us! “Viv Ayiti.”
