Widlene has been going to college to become a professional cook! She is almost finished, and I know she will soon be making all the deserts for the Epi Dor Restaurant, which is run by her orphanage brothers. She has found her “niche!”

We met Widlene’s mother and baby sister, Esther, when we were living in the mountains of Mt. Noire, after we first moved to Haiti. Her mother, Mdm. Jesula, arrived at our gate one morning asking us to take her two children when she “died.” We knew Mdm. Jesula was sick, but what we didn’t know was that she had not eaten in many days. We sent her to the hospital for a checkup and they found she was anemic. When she came home from the hospital, we took her and her children into our orphanage, giving her a job!

Esther left for college a few days ago, and soon, Widlene will be finished with college and can get a job! God is good! Thank you, friends and partners. Sherry
