Widlene and her sister, Esther, were brought to us when Widlene was about four or five years old. Her sister, Esther, was a baby. Madamn Jesula, their mother, had brought them to our house in the mountains of Haiti, many years ago. Madamn Jesula was sick and thought she was dying. She wanted to know if we would take her children when she died. We put her in a hospital, paid her bills, and found out that she was hungry and anemic. What a precious gift from God!

Widlene was in college to become a professional chef, but she had to drop out (along with 21 other Love A Child kids) due to the gangs. Until she returns, she has become “my right hand.” She organizes everything from the kids’ birthday parties to daily Vacation Bible School! She really is a great blessing! She also handles the food budget, cooks, and much more. We love her!!
