Have you ever tried planning meals for a big group? You have to buy all the ingredients and put them all together, making sure everything is right. Have you ever tried to plan for and provide meals for 1,000 families? The planning, purchasing, organizing, and delivery is a huge undertaking.
We have a food distribution next week with over 1,000 people. We are providing rice, beans, sugar, and cooking oil. Our math was off by just a hair. 100-pound sacks of beans were purchased instead of 110-pound sacks of beans. This meant that we were a few bags short on the beans. But when you multiply that out by 1,000 families. It meant we were short over a ton of beans. The miscalculation was only off by 2,000 pounds. But thank God we were able to scramble and find huge sacks of beans to purchase at the border. We rectified the situation, and we are now back on pace, separating the food and getting ready for the distribution next week. God is good!
Thank you for supporting us as we feed the poor. It is a huge undertaking. But we are blessed with faithful people like you who keep this ministry moving forward! Be blessed!
