One of the ways we measure improvement in our Malnutrition Center is a smile! Along with better blood work, weight gain, and growing strength, we watch for brighter eyes and returning joy. Responsive facial expression is a vital clinical indicator of neurological recovery, specifically marking an improvement in mental status, appetite, and metabolic stabilization.

After several weeks, this sweet girl is doing so much better! Her smile is almost here! Praise God for the joy of watching these precious babies heal!
