Jasson (Jackson), is 12 years old. Look at him, “flying through the air,” jumping rope!
No “12-year-old” boy in the states would be caught dead, “jumping rope!” Haitian children love to jump rope, no matter if they are girls or boys, they love it and they are good at it! One of our partners sent in jump ropes and the kids tied three together! Every evening, the boys and girls, even young teens, are singing and jumping rope!
It’s good to see Jasson playing like other children. We found him in Savan Pite, suffering from Kwashiorkor Malnutrition! His stomach was huge and he was retaining lots of water. Over a long period of time, he gained weight and felt better. He is still under medical care, with special thanks to Dr. Debbie Chen, who helps monitor his condition and gets his special medicine to us. Jasson does well in school and works hard. He loves to clean tennis shoes and boots, and loves to work! God has something special in mind for him! We love Jasson!!! Sherry
