The people in this area have made a determination to try to return to normalcy in spite of the chaos being perpetrated by the gangs. There have been no soccer games for several weeks because of the gangs. But yesterday, Miracle Village hosted a soccer match against La Source. Hundreds came out to cheer on their team. La Source won the game 3-2. But everyone who showed up to watch was the true winner. With resolve and solidarity they are proving that the gangs cannot have dominion over them. The soccer game was more than just a competition between two teams. It was a public statement that the people here would not give in to fear. Pray for these wonderful people.
