Haitians LOVE soccer! They live it and breathe it. They follow the game with passion and know more about what is happening on the world soccer stage than most Americans.
I am sure you know that Love A Child helps the Haitian people in many ways, and you have probably heard about our local radio station. But I bet you didn’t know that we also bring soccer to the masses.
Love A Child has a very popular sports broadcast program that broadcasts any time a major international soccer match is being played. Led by our main sportscaster, Bouby Stinfil, our Haitian radio crew watches the soccer match live. They provide play-by-play announcements of the game in Creole. The game is broadcast live through the Love A Child radio station from our compound here in Haiti. Happy soccer fans from all over the surrounding areas follow the games. They could be way up in the mountains without any other source of information, but they are able to listen to their favorite soccer match on Love A Child Radio. They might not have cable or Internet, but they have grown to rely on the live broadcasts of the games.
We thank God for our Sports Broadcast crew. They are “Soccer Super-Fans.”
