This big, burly man is nothing but a “teddy bear!” He came to us from “a run-down orphanage” in Haiti. His relative called and begged us to take him and we are glad we did. He came from the Cape Haitian area, and their Creole is a little different. When he arrived at our orphanage, the kids nicknamed him “Ki-nam,” short for “What is your name?”
Stanley completed three years of electrical engineering in Haiti, but before he could finish we had to take him and the rest of the 21 kids, “out of college” due to gangs. So, he has to start all over again.
He loves soccer and “looking after his sisters” at the orphanage, and making sure “the boys are not hitting them!” Ha! He is also good at soccer! We love “Stanley” and hope that he has “quit growing!”
