Look at these pictures of the proud students at the Agricultural Training Center (ATC) Agricultural Extension-training Program going on right now. These students have been learning about agronomy—soil science, and they have learned to prepare a good soil medium and then incorporate it into this brand new garden spot, which started out as a raw, barren, unproductive patch of weeds. Soon they will be harvesting their own produce. I love seeing how happy and proud they are of their opportunity to participate in this Sustainability Program—helping Haitians to become self-sufficient and increase their food security.
