Hi Everyone!

We wanted to share some needs that we have here at Love A Child and other orphanages in Haiti. Haitian children wear “flip flops” every day when they are not in school. In the States, kids wear tennis shoes, but in Haiti, kids live in flip flops that they call “sandals!” Also, in most of the schools, except for some of the mountain schools, kids are required to have a uniform and black shoe. You can imagine how they go through shoes walking across gravel, rocks, etc! All of these barefooted boys came to me this morning and said, “Mommie, we all need sandals and many others still need school shoes!” If you run into “sales” for either of these items or find good conditioned black shoes or tennis shoes in any size at all, boys or girls, please mail them to our Love A Child office at 12411 Commerce Lakes Drive, Fort Myers, Florida 33913.
