“Give a man a fish, and he will eat for a day. Teach a man to fish; he will eat for a lifetime.”
This morning I helped harvest our leaf cabbage, eggplant, and okra at the ATC gardens. All the okra and eggplant seeds came from Hope Seeds International. Thank you, David Balsbaugh, President, for all the thousands of seeds. Wilner Exil, your team, and students are amazing!! You have a green thumb!!
Thank you, Joe Perkins and Ron and your organization, Sustainable Food Production, for all the shade houses. Rad Hazelip, the father of the dream.
Look up Google today to see the latest Haiti news. Over half of the population is starving. Through the years, the Haitians have cut down millions of trees to sell as charcoal to cook with, leaving the topsoil to wash into the ocean. Our sustainable agriculture in Haiti training courses teach how to bring their land back to produce gardens again. When the Haitian families have productive gardens like these, they do not starve.
Sustainability is helping Haitians to help themselves.
Thank you for your important financial support for this program.
