We have some great news from our Love A Child Director of Sustainable Development Dave Balsbaugh. He oversees the Agricultural Training Center (ATC) and helps with all of our sustainability programs. Recently, a volunteer team that was in Haiti building a bunkhouse for the ATC, also built a shaded work area for Madamn Sonya, who has a business producing Moringa powder. This additional shaded work area will help Madamn Sonya produce more Moringa powder. Dave is also working with Madamn Sonya to help expand her business beyond Love A Child. Right now, she doesn’t have enough Moringa trees to keep up with the demand for Moringa powder. Dave suggested that Madamn Sonya buy Moringa from people in Miracle Village or perhaps team up with an area farmer to produce Moringa trees needed for her business. We thank our volunteer teams who make a difference in the lives of Haitians. We also thank Dave for teaching the Haitians how to work together to help each other.
