Sustainable Agriculture Training Course Update

This is the student’s last week of our current 3-week training class on sustainable agriculture in Haiti. They will graduate this coming Saturday. It is all coming together for the students now, and they are showing a new confidence in their ability to grow reliable, nutritious food for their family and communities. They are learning so much in this course. Here they are in the classroom learning about making organic compost, the best growing medium possible. Then they go into the field to work together, making a huge compost pile out of a variety of organic matter. It is abundant and free. Look at the huge pile now ready to decompose into valuable compost. They even add worms to aid in the composting. This cycle of life, from plants back into the soil, is Farming God’s Way, and the students appreciate their opportunity to learn these life-giving methods. Be sure to check back on Saturday to see them proudly receiving their Certificates and their gifts of Z23 Super Hoe tools, Hope Seeds, and Chapin drip irrigation kits to take back home with them. A huge “Thank You” to those donors whose gifts made this possible. Your “seed gifts” are helping God grow a new Haiti.
