Jasson (Jackson), has had some very severe health problems since he came to live with us. He had Kwashiorkor Malnutrition.   He was just “bones,” and “water.” Even when he began receiving good health care, he was still fragile.

He had always had kidney problems, but he is worse now than ever before. Dr. Barthelemy talked to Jasson’s kidney specialist here in Haiti and he said that Jasson suffers from Cortico Resistant Nephrotic Syndrome. His kidneys have begun to lose their filtration ability.

After doing kidney evaluation and heart evaluation his pediatrician sent him to another doctor who wants to prepare him for dialysis with an arteriovenous fistula.  I am not familiar with this medical terminology, but I know this is serious and they want to start doing dialysis on him.

We ask your prayers because this is a very serious illness for this child to be going through.
