Today is “Talking to the Dead” day.

Today is a holiday here in Haiti. It started yesterday with the non-Christians. Today Haitians celebrate “the day of the dead.” They will be flocking to the National Cemetery and other cemeteries carrying rum, candles, and hoping for a better future. This takes place every year during the first days of November. This is a Voodoo festival.

The evil spirit Baron Samedi is the guardian of the dead. The evil spirit Baron Samedi takes part in all of the Voodoo ceremonies. Many non-Christians will be talking to the dead today. Together let’s claim Haiti for Christ! I talked to Jesus early this morning! “He’s not dead! He’s still alive!”
