Orphaned by tragedy—her father gunned down by gang members in Port Au Prince over a year ago, her mother long gone—Tasha became the lifeline for her five younger siblings and their frail, wheelchair-bound grandmother.

In their crumbling home, hope was a scarce commodity, as fleeting as the meals that rarely graced their table.

One day, a whisper of salvation reached Tasha’s ears: Love A Child, a beacon of compassion, was coming to the town of Sainta, bringing food for starving children.
