Yesterday was my birthday; I was just going to have a nice, quiet day…but the children here at our Children’s Home had “lots of plans” in the making!! Ha! They came to my door at 5:30 am and played the most beautiful birthday music. I just stood there and started crying. We love these children so much, and they are “good children!” But little did I know that they all had big plans.

It started to be a birthday party for Yonel, Luckson, Rodna, and two of our college children, Widelene and Jean Gardy.  But the older boys and girls had all kinds of surprises for me!!! They had saved their money and brought nice gifts for me! I was so surprised!!! We had a great time as the older girls had “sparklers” going as they introduced the “praise team” who did a special dance for me! Afterward, they turned up the music and laughed and ate cake and ice cream! They all had a great time!

I want to personally thank everyone who sent in birthday wishes and all the “birthday cake” shots! I heard from friends whom I have not seen nor talked to in a long time! Our friends are so precious to us!!!  So, thank you to everyone who made this a special day for me!!!
