This small village is where we will be going to give food. We sent Dieuferly, one of our older children, along with Pastor Joseph to this area. This is a very unusual area, and this family is the family of Madamn Marie Dieulane. She has six children. Just imagine living here, in the middle of nowhere, with this large family. Her husband walks four hours to find trees to cut for charcoal but making charcoal takes several days. In the meantime, the children are hungry… However, in this village, it seems that the majority of children are the ones who are responsible to bring things home to make money to buy food. Many of the husbands have left to go to the Dominican Republic, leaving the mothers and children to fend for themselves! These are the things that “break the heart of God.”
