The Egg Hunt!

Remember all those eggs they colored yesterday? Well, today, late in the afternoon was the big Easter Egg hunt! The older children “hide the eggs” but make sure that there are some in plain sight for little kids, i.e. Zoey and Zachary, and then, of course, out came the “four…” Noah, Ti Samuel, Kenzy, and Joshua! All the big children helped them find some eggs!!! Then, all the children, five to thirteen, went on the egg hunt!!

We have a big field and the older kids hid them well… in trees, in bushes, in the vehicles, and many hard places but the kids found most of them!!! There were five winners who found more than 25 eggs!! Jonas, the new boy that was recused and brought in for an exam, had more than 25 eggs, but, when the hunt was over, he “went back out to hunt more eggs!!”

All our children, from ages one to twenty-five, loved the Easter egg hunt! They played music and danced and had a great time!!! They are not an “orphanage,” they are “family!” There is a big difference! We raise all our children to be “brothers and sisters.” They love each other and care deeply for one another!

All the children were so proud of the eggs they found! What a simple day, of lots of fun!! God has richly blessed us with these children and we love them all!

P.S. On the way to church this morning, Widlene, one of our older girls, read the entire Easter story from the Bible to us, as we were driving! These children “love the Lord!”
