Fond Bayard is a village right near the Haitian/Dominican Republic Border…

The poor families here have been struggling for years. You see, they had gone to the Dominican Republic years ago to work in the cane fields to make a living. But, they were all “deported” back to Haiti. There is a big sign at the entrance of Fond Bayard saying that “these people were deported!”

It has always been rough making a living back in Haiti… they were used to working in the sugarcane fields, but now, they have nothing. Some make charcoal to survive, and some try to buy and sell a few things… but there is never enough for food!

But, our partners have sponsored “containers of food,” and some have sponsored different amounts of food… And now, the seeds you have planted are producing fruit! Each box contains 216 meals, and just look at the faces of these mothers! Their children will eat “a plateful of nourishing food” instead of mud cookies tonight! The Haitians say, “Hope makes us live!”
