TOUCHING STORY
In the remote village of Baru, nestled in the rugged south of Haiti, over 93 children and several nursing mothers trekked through winding hills and dense woods, driven by hope and hunger. For many of these children, their last meal was two or three days ago—a reality that gnaws at both body and spirit. Their small feet, some bare, others in worn sandals, carried them toward a promise: a hot, nourishing meal.
Hubert and our dedicated Love A Child team in southern Haiti worked tirelessly to make this moment possible. Under the shade of a weathered canopy, they chopped vegetables, stirred steaming pots, and prepared plates brimming with rice, beans, and savory protein—a feast to these weary travelers. The air buzzed with anticipation as the children, eyes wide with wonder, lined up, their chatter mingling with the clatter of ladles.
Thanks to your prayers and generous support, each child received a hearty meal, their smiles lighting up the dusty courtyard as they ate. Nursing mothers, cradling their infants, found nourishment and a moment of respite. As the sun dipped below the horizon, these families returned home with full bellies and hearts lifted, singing praises for the “angels” who brought them sustenance and hope.
Your compassion turned their hunger into joy, proving that love can reach even the most forgotten corners of the world.
Love is something you do!
