We are so proud of our Love A Child Birthing Center! What a beautiful place for poor mothers to have their baby! This Birthing Center will also serve as prenatal care and postnatal care. It will have a “Women’s Learning Center” to teach mothers how to care for their babies even when there is little food available. We will share with them and provide birth control. (Haitian laws are very strict on how to do this.) We will teach them that it is better to have fewer children who are healthier than a lot of children who have malnutrition. There are lots of “customs” and religious beliefs that we need to talk to them about.

Mainly, we want healthy mothers and babies. This Birthing Center will make the poor feel that they are just like anyone else…

There is a home in the back of the Birthing Center to house their relative or relatives who come from the mountains. We will provide sleeping quarters and food for them. The Birthing Center will also provide more jobs to sustain their families.

We have had so many babies “come early” when women come to our clinic, the Jesus Healing Center. One day we thought, “We really need to believe in God for a Birthing Center!” This all happened with a miracle! We want to thank the Lord, who made this possible, and all the wonderful folks who donated to our “matching grant,” and those who sponsored the “matching grant.” We are thankful to those who sponsored items on our “wish list,” and who called and said, “I feel led to help… what do you need the most?”
