Yesterday, I mentioned how important it was to God’s Kingdom that we help the starving Haitians get from point “A” to point “B” by distributing over 25 million meals this year to help stabilize those in need. That is what God wants us to do to help with the immediate need. I also talked about going the next step by helping people learn new skills in development, enterprise, and agriculture. That is important too because it helps over the long term. Development helps them break the cycle of poverty that starvation and hunger are a symptom of.

What’s the next step, that God expects of you and me? We are working on some programs now, that hopefully, we can begin to implement soon, with your continued help. We want to transform their newly learned skills for taking care of their families into having new businesses that will extend the help to so many others, through employment and economic stability. A friend reminded me yesterday that “agriculture” helps you feed your family, but “agribusiness” (processing the fruits/crops) generates employment, and even wealth, thereby helping many more people. There will be some exciting news soon about Farmer John’s slaughterhouse and a new agribusiness program that we are working on that could spread help and hope throughout Haiti. We will need your help to execute these plans, so thank you for partnering with us as we work together to help Haiti thrive. Remember, God blesses us when we bless others.
