Never before in the 220 years of the history of Haiti has there ever been hunger and starvation in Haiti as the area I’m about to tell you about!

85% of the people in “gang-controlled areas of the main city of Port-au-Prince” have left their homes and fled to the mountains in the south of Haiti. This, combined with the supply routes being cut off for food delivery, had created the “perfect storm of suffering,” like Haiti has never experienced!

“On the Brink of Starvation…”

This weekend, Hubert and our Love A Child team found a very remote village called “Nan Kontal,” an area between “two large mountain ranges” with thousands of hungry families!

Many of these families have gone “without a meal for days!” With the little supplies left on hand, Hubert and the Love A Child team cooked a hot meal for 154 children and elderly people who were on the brink of starvation. We have ordered more food, but this food is a “drop in the bucket” compared to the need. We need your prayers and love more than ever and support for the hungry and starving as the poor Haitians are fleeing from the gangs…

The Haitians say, “They are running from the rain… it’s falling into the river.” It means “their lives are going from bad to worse.” The poor of Haiti need your love, compassion, and financial help than ever before.
