Part One…
The little Haitian village of Barassa is a small town in the mountains, in the middle of “nowhere,” Haiti. The village’s poor have no access to a hospital, clinic, or even a nurse. As you can imagine, lots of deaths occur. When women get pregnant, their birth takes place in a small, dark room or in a hut on the ground. Sometimes a village lady helps to deliver the baby, but sometimes a witch doctor does!
Madamn Germaine is 33 years old. She lives in a house made of wood and mud because her husband abandoned her; she had only a small garden to work in poor soil with little rain! She continued to plant because that was her only income.
She met another man who, she thought, would help her raise her children, but he abandoned her when she became pregnant… She heard about our Birthing Center and made the decision to go…
We will tell you “the rest of the story” at 7:00 pm!
You won’t believe it!! God is good!
