Moses…

You may not be able to imagine a mother in the States giving birth to her child and dropping him down in a toilet in order to kill him. This is what happened to Moses… His mother had so many children that when she was ready to give birth she went to a Haitian outhouse in an unfamiliar town and gave birth to him by dropping him down into an outhouse! Apparently, the outhouse was almost full and a Haitian man heard the baby cry, and went and broke up the seat, tied a cord to his waist, and went down with a bucket. He brought the bucket up, covered with the “filth of Haiti,” and the ladies in the village cleaned him up. They sent him to the baby hospital, who “did all they could for him,” and then sent him to Social Services in Haiti. They contacted us and we took him in. He was so skinny and tiny that he looked like a little mouse. We called him “Moses.”

As Moses grew, we knew he would become someone special… We began to feed him the Feed My Starving Children rice and he got stronger each day. He was extremely intelligent.

Today, Moses is 14 years old and in Junior High. He wants to be a doctor so that he can help people and babies in the same way that he was helped. Sherry
