Sherry and I thought we would be back in Haiti by today. Yesterday morning at 9:00 am, we had our second Moderna COVID-19 vaccine. You must have proof (of a negative COVID-19 test) before you can fly to Haiti or on other international flights.

We received our negative test results at 4:10 pm yesterday. All-day we felt great. I checked into the hotel at the airport to fly out to Haiti at 6:41 am this morning. During the night, Sherry became very sick from the vaccine. The “bellman” was supposed to come and pick up our bags at 4:14 am this morning. I called and canceled the bellman and our flight. Sherry couldn’t even walk this morning. Sherry had excruciating leg and foot cramps. She had a fever, headache, etc. I wasn’t feeling well, but I was ok.

By this afternoon, Sherry is feeling better. I’ve been downstairs twice to bring her Starbucks coffee! (Prayer and Starbucks really helps her!)

Tomorrow Lord willing, we will be back in Haiti. I can’t wait to see all of the children!

On Saturday, we are all traveling up a mountain to a new area to prepare a hot delicious Feed My Starving Children meal for a lot of children. These children will have more food in their bowls than they have ever had in their lifetime! What a joy for us to do this together.
