Trusting God

While there are many children all over Haiti, going to church today, dressed in their “Sunday’s best,” there are many poor children, especially in the mountains of Haiti, who will not be going to church. Not only do they “not” have a dress, or long pants and a shirt, but they have no shoes. Today, instead of having a nice dinner after church, they will still be walking through the mountains, barefoot, a dirty dress on, or cut-off pants, going to look for pieces of wood to burn to make charcoal. This process takes several days. In the meantime, each night, they will drink “saltwater soup,” or eat a dirt cookie, until food can get there.

They have little “hope” that anything will change. In spite of all this, they pray and trust that God will take care of them… and He will. He uses “people like you.” Today, while you are in church, or listening to church at home, take a small moment to utter a prayer of thanks to the Lord, because “you” could have been this little girl, or any other little boy in Haiti… but, instead, God has “chosen” you for a purpose, that purpose is “to help the poor!” God bless you and we love you, Bobby and Sherry
