PRAYER ALERT: We have heard on the Haitian radio, yesterday and this morning, that today the thugs will storm the Presidential Palace and take over the government. All of the major roads are still blocked with burning tires, rock-throwing, burning buildings, shootings, etc. No one is on the street traveling. Everything is completely shut down; schools, banks, and businesses! Many are going out of business forever.

We have 145 employees (not including our construction workers) here on our Love A Child compound. Now, for several days, they haven’t been able to go home to see their families, and most are out of food. Others cannot even come to work.

Haitian Customs is still closed with many of our food containers held there. Haiti is in a food crisis, more than I can ever tell you. This morning, a little elderly woman came to us crying and begging for food. There are hundreds more like her right here in our area. We found one box of food (216 meals) and we gave her some money. Why isn’t any of this on the national news? The world doesn’t care about little Haiti or its poor people who have nothing to do with this political and economic crisis.

I was told around 75% to 80% of the missionaries have left Haiti. Some of them I know personally will not be coming back.

Please pray for Haiti and all of us here at Love A Child, that the Lord will supply every financial need to help the Haitians. We need to get back on the road and get all of our food out of Customs. Bobby Burnette
