Baby Elijah was found “abandoned in the bushes” in front of our gate here at Love A Child. We brought him into the orphanage. He was suffering with severe malnutrition but we did not know what else was wrong with him. He was sent to a local hospital and we soon discovered that he had a “hydrocephalic head,” and needed surgery. The doctors also said he was “brain damaged, blind and deaf.”

With the help of the Hotes Foundation, Richard Hotes and his team, flew Elijah to the States where he received great medical care and the “best host family he could ever have!” God gave this baby a miracle! He can see, hear, and now, he has an 80-word vocabulary.  The people at Hotes bought him a small piano and he loves to “play.” He loves Christian music! We all believe that God is healing Elijah and there is “no telling what this baby will become!” Thank you, Lord Jesus, thank you, Hotes Foundation and thank you, to his wonderful host family, doctors and everyone who helped him!
