I’m hoping to have pictures today to share with you of the food being packed in the Dominican Republic. The first load will be 73,500 pounds, hopefully… We are concerned about whether our container can hold this much weight.

Haiti is in a food crisis because of all the political and economic problems. The children are breaking our hearts. Farmer John, who has the butcher shop in our market next door, left three days ago to deliver meat to our friend’s orphans’ home about 40 miles away from here. He has not been back for three days. He e-mailed me this morning saying that he cannot make it back yet because the gangs are now saying that they will “stop you and burn your car!!”
