Update From the Border of Haiti: 11-24-18 5:30 PM

Border Update – Haiti:

As you may know from Kaeli who let you know earlier that we were on the way to cross the border from the Dominican Republic to Haiti today. On the way to the border, we found out there was trouble and some shooting. Several people have been killed, and now, they have “set the border on fire.” There has been “even more shooting and chaos.” Haiti is going through great “political and social changes.” A lot has gone on in Haiti since we left to join our family in the Dominican Republic for Thanksgiving. Haiti is on the edge of exploding. What hurts us the worst, is that we hear that “there is nothing about this on the news in the U.S.” It’s like “no one cares about little Haiti and it’s people.” It tears our hearts to pieces. What is worse is that this hurts “the poorest of the poor.” The prices have gone up on everything! The economy has fallen completely apart. This affects not only the poorest of the poor but the Haitian businessmen all who have worked so hard. Urgent, please pray for Haiti and all the missionaries.

We all are staying this evening in Santo Domingo, in the Dominican Republic. Lord willing we are working on Plan B to be in Haiti tomorrow. Bobby and Sherry
