Board Meeting:

Our Love A Child board meeting went very well today. The CPA auditor said we are strong and doing very well. Everyone was amazed how much we have accomplished through all the gangs and turmoil, as well as how we are shipping containers from America through the Dominican Republic and into Haiti to bless the Haitian people.

Travel:

Heartbreaking, crushing news late this afternoon. Sherry and I were packing and repacking suitcases full of Christmas gifts for the orphan children, preparing to leave tomorrow morning early for the Miami airport. We were going to fly into Santo Domingo and then drive to the border, crossing Haiti on foot. A call came in letting us know it would be impossible to cross the border into Haiti. Not having Christmas with our orphan children and blessing many other children in the community was a sad crushing blow to Sherry and myself. The Dominican government, along with the American government, is trying to protect Americans because of the great dangers from the gangs.

We are here this evening in our motel room feeling discouraged, sad, and heartbroken. The Lord has given us peace in the last hour with contentment. “I have learned, in whatsoever state I am, therewith to be content.” (Philippians 4:11) God, not our will, but your will be done. Thank you for your prayers and support.
