Medical Help Needed for Jackson

Update: Medical Help Needed for Jackson: 4-13-17 2:00 PM

We found Jackson (Jasson in Creole), in the mountains of Savaan Pit about two years ago during a Mobile Medical Clinic. He had severe malnutrition, and his stomach was horribly swollen. He begged me to “take him home,” and I did. We took him to the Love A Child Orphanage and to our Jesus Healing Center where he began a long series of having his stomach drained of the water that collected due to the Kwashiorkor Malnutrition.

Jackson has a chronic kidney condition, which we need assistance in finding adequate medical help. All of the treatments in Haiti have failed. The only medication available to him here is not effective, and in fact is dangerous for long-term use. If he continues without the necessary help he needs, his condition will eventually become fatal. Jackson needs a chance at life like any other child. If he were a child in a country rich with resources like the US, he would not be suffering from this debilitating condition.

We will need a hospital and a doctor that will write a letter saying that they will agree to take care of all his medical costs at no charge. We are running out of time. We thought we had help, but it did not come through. If you know of a hospital and doctor who would take this on, please respond. We really need a host family who would be willing to take care of him and to and from the hospital and doctor. Thank you, Sherry
