I was unable to leave this morning with Oriol to meet the team in Nippes. I am learning that Sherry can’t get any e-mails or Internet reception. The team saw over 550 people today in their Mobile Medical Clinic, and several people came to the Lord. They are hoping to see even more people tomorrow. Sherry says that the team members are the only guests in their “hotel.” When they arrived yesterday, they waited at the dusty and dirty front desk for an hour. Finally, someone came to check them in. Sherry asked, “Do you want to write our names down?” The owner said, “No.” Then he told the team members to choose any room they wanted. The team members were a little scared, and one of the rooms had smoke coming from one of the walls. The wall was hot from sparks, and they were jumping out of the outlet. Our mechanic Joker removed the wiring and fixed that situation. There were no toilet seats, and this was not fun at all for the ladies. There was no air conditioning, and if you had a fan, you DID NOT have a light. In Sherry’s bathroom, the sink was leaking so badly that they decided to drain it into the tub. Aside from that, there was no water to take showers!!! They were all hot and dirty messes! This is just the beginning of the story, but they are doing great and in great spirits.
