“Imagine giving a child away, because you can’t feed them all.”
Betina was born after the 2010 earthquake in Cité Soleil, Haiti. Anyone who knows Haiti knows what a dangerous area this is. Betina came from a large family and there wasn’t enough food for everyone. Her parents abandoned her. Betina was “rescued” by some social workers who brought her to us. When she came to us, she was “shy and quiet.” But soon, her “sisters” pulled her out of her shell.
She “loves” dolls and more dolls! She loves to draw. She doesn’t care about sports, dancing, or singing! She LOVES to clean her room!!! However, she is a “jokester!” She says she wants to be a “teacher at our school!” Maybe she will!!!
