We want to thank all our wonderful friends and partners for your help regarding the surgery for Camy’s baby.
Everything here in Haiti is “extremely slow.” She is in Port-au-Prince this week for more tests before they will do surgery; this surgery is “very fragile.” We want to thank everyone for your “sacrificial gifts” and for your prayers. Camy is with his baby and his family now.
We know that this “surgery” must be done by those experienced doctors. As soon as we have more information regarding the surgery, we will let you know. The doctors are still doing more “tests!”
Camy is like a “beloved father,” over all the boys at our orphanage. Camy is strict with the boys, making sure they do their chores, but he loves them! I have always described Camy as a “gentle giant!”
Haiti is a country that “moves slower than we do,” so it takes patience. A Haitian Creole proverb says, “With patience, you will see the ‘belly button’ of the ant!” (I know for sure that I don’t have that much patience, but I’m trying!)
Keep on praying, and we will keep you informed on Camy’s baby; love and prayers.
