This young boy is Christian Burnette. Haiti’s Department of Social Services brought him to our Love A Child Children’s Home almost ten years ago. When Christian was very young, his father was arrested and sent to prison. Not long afterward, his sick mother passed away, leaving Christian with no home or family that would take him into their homes and raise him. He was a bit shy when he first came to our children’s home, but it didn’t take long for Christian to settle into our big, loving family. We had several other children that were about the same age, so he fit right in with his new siblings, and he loves playing outside with all of them. He has grown into a wonderful young boy, with a bit of a mischievous nature. Christian always has a big smile on his face, and loves to play soccer and likes to build things. He is growing up fast, and this summer he is working, along with some of his brothers, in the Agricultural Training Center, and learning about growing fruits and vegetables.
