Many years ago, Daniel Belizaire arrived at our Love A Child Children’s Home along with his twin sister Daniella. His story is very tragic. When his mother went to the local hospital to deliver what were to be triplets, she was turned away at gunpoint during a military coup d’état. So she returned to her village, and in a filthy mud hut, her children were born. His mother and one of the newborn girls died. His father had no idea how to take care of the newborns, so they quickly became malnourished and very emaciated. We found the children not long after they were born, and we brought them to our Love A Child Children’s Home. Fortunately, at that young age, we were able to get them the nourishing baby food they needed, so they had a better start in life than many of our children. Daniel is a big soccer fan and loves playing with his brothers.
