Daniel and Daniella Belizaire are twins that came to our Love A Child Orphanage not long after their birth. Their mother tried going to a hospital when she was ready to deliver, but she was turned away at gunpoint during a military Coup d’état in 2004. Their mother had to give birth to triplets in the family’s mud hut, and she and one of the infants did not survive. The father was unable to care for the two remaining children, and they were suffering from severe malnutrition almost from birth. When we found them they were in very bad condition and we took them back to our Love A Child Orphanage. They slowly improved there, as they were given nutritious food and the love of a big family. Today they both love going to school and are doing very well there. Daniel loves playing with his brothers and their toy cars, while Daniella loves dressing up and playing with dolls.
