Yesterday, Jesse Ostrander took Jasson and Dieuferly across the border to the Dominican Republic for doctor’s appointments.

Jasson will need to make some changes in his diet due to his kidney programs.

Dieuferly had a “major” club foot surgery in the Dominican Republic about four months ago. It was a very complicated surgery. He was in a great deal of pain… Here at Love A Child, he twisted his other knee and that had to be put in a cast for three weeks. While he was here, he did a lot of our photography and drone shots, he is learning editing now… He finally got his cast off and made this trip to the D.R. The doctor that examined his foot was pleased, and instead of scheduling another surgery, he thought it would be best to fit Dieuferly with special orthopedic shoes. Dieuferly was so excited that he might not have to go through the surgery again! He texted us and was praising God! What a blessing!!!

This was the same diagnosis that a contact friend of ours suggested, who is a physical therapist. She had told us that he needed special shoes and some therapy. We are so excited and so thankful to the Lord!

Dieuferly has always been such a kind, sweet young man, and he loves people! He has come a long way from the mountains of Haiti, and God has His hand on him! We love Dieuferly!! His name means “God made it!”
