“Our Sweet Dimelia…”

As many of you may know, Dimelia has been with us since she was about three. She had fallen into a large pot of boiling water and it burned her neck down to her waist. She had many surgeries and skin grafts and releases. She was scheduled to have her last one on her chest area but her visa expired, so she could not go back to the Shriners Burn Center in Boston.

We had to find help because she was in pain with her skin stretching. Our friend, David George and his wife Angie, found a doctor and hospital in the Dominican Republic. They gave her an evaluation, then started her on shots for pain, and will see if this would help the scar area. She is staying with friends in the DR and has had one shot and needs three more.

The doctor wants to try this first before considering surgery. Pray for Dimelia so that the Lord will direct us in finding the right care for her. God has a great plan for her life!
