Dimelia is a little doll! She was brought to us by her father when she was about three. She had fallen into a pot of boiling cornmeal, we were told. Her burns had been so severe that she was in the hospital for weeks. When she came to us, she could not raise her arms straight up or turn her head sideways. We found a host family not far from the Shriners in Boston, and she spent many years between Boston, coming back to Haiti, and going back for burn releases. But, last year, she came “home” for good and went to a U.S. accredited High School in Petionville (English speaking) and graduated!

She now wants to attend a University in Haiti to study medicine and become a doctor! But for months, the schools have been closed and last week when she and Roselyne were supposed to register, they could not get through for the blockades and riots. She will try again… but until then, she volunteers at our Jesus Healing Center and Birthing Center!

Dimelia has a gift from God! She can really lead worship, loves the Lord and is just a wonderful daughter! We love her so much!
